This beautiful fossil is a Crinoid Plate. Crinoids are sometimes called "Sea Lillies" because of their flower like appearance. These free-floating animals lived on the sea floor filtering the water for their food.
Each plate is unique in their detail and coloring. Pairing the plates with our Grape Agate or Fluorite with Dogtooth Calcite gives them an elegant look, or you can pair with our Ammonites and Orthoceras Towers for a more natural nautical feel!
This particular specimen has gorgeous dark grey natural color and has extraordinary detail!
