Large Moss Agate Sphere! This specimen is just fascinating!!
Agate is a variety of chalcedony, with a wide variety of colors. (Chalcedony is a form of Quartz) Moss Agate has leafy green patterns resembling moss growth: these are the result of green dendritic mineral inclusions of manganese and iron within the stone.
This particular sphere has many spectacular features! There is a geode-like cavity in the sphere with beautiful, sparkling crystals that shine all the way through! The amazing natural colors catch the eye from across a room!
